Yellowstone National Park opens it's general fishing season tomorrow, Saturday May 23rd. This year Yellowstone Lake will open with the opening of the general season. We have fishing permits and regulations available.

Also, don't forget that Montana's small stream season opened last Saturday. While a good number of the states small freestone streams and rivers are seeing deminished clarity, the light snowpack and recent cooling off trend around the state has a lot of them in fishable form. This should leave you with more options than normal to for everyone to spreadout out over the long weekend.  See our fishing reports page for current reports about options in our region. If all else fails its a great time to hit a lake, the spring creeks or a tailwater. The Missouri which is seeing fantastic dry fly fishing on baetis and caddis, you will be far from alone but it will be lights out fishing if you head up. The Bighorn, rarely out of form, is seeing a lot of moss moving through the system so be aware of that before heading down there.
