It's that time again, fishing license renewals are just around the corner. As a reminder 2015 Season fishing licenses are good through February, March 1st you need your new one. As a result of the Montana legislature passing HB 140 in 2015, the rate structure for 2016 has seen changes. At the time of this post it appears the Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks website does not yet show the changes to the license fees. Below is a brief summary of the changes to fees related to fishing licenses, changes to the definition of "youth", the removal of various free licenses and some consolidating of management fees has also occured.
Resident Season Fishing (Ages 18-61) $21 + $10 Conservation = $29
Non-Resident Season Fishing $86 + plus $10 Conservation = $96
Non-Resident Two-Day Fishing $25 + $10 Conservation = $35
Non-Resident Ten-Day Fishing $56 + $10 Conservation = $66
License are now available to sell for the 2016 season.
