Lower Madison River (Below Ennis Lake)

Monday, July 23, 2018

The Lower Madison is running at 2070 cfs and the average is 1530 cfs.

The flows are all over the place right now, early mornings and late afternoons will be your best bet. The water temp is already touching near the 70 degree range and hoot owl may be just around the corner, so ensure quick releases and short handling times so fish don't get stressed out. Caddis have been out and about in the later afternoon and evenings with White Miller Caddis being spotted. A crayfish pattern trailed by a smaller bead head is producing the best fishing right now.
