Lower Madison River (Below Ennis Lake)

Thursday, May 10, 2018

The Lower Madison is running at 3610 cfs and the average is 1700 cfs.

The stretch from Cherry Creek to the dam at Ennis Lake is producing fish. The Caddis are in full hatch mode. Goddard Caddis and similar patterns are catching fish in the mornings and evenings along banks. Nymphing a Crawfish or San Juan with a smaller midge dropper seem to do the trick as well. Streamer action is also yielding a few fish.
